STAY TOASTY

Stay Toasty - a free after school club for children, young people and their families - starts on Tuesday 30th January from 3-4.30pm at St Faith’s Church.

It aims to build on the sense of community in the West End with engaging crafts, fun activities and games, whilst feeding hungry kids after a busy day at school!

Run by Love Your Neighbour, the community arm of both St. Swithin’s and St. Faith’s Churches, the hope is to help children and families through providing free toast, toppings and refreshments in a warm, welcoming space, providing support at a time when the cost of living has skyrocketed.

The initiative has been funded through support from the NHS Lincolnshire's Community Mental Health Transformation Programme. Community Connector, Mike Farley, said, "Creating warm and welcoming safe spaces in and across the city is truly important, and a key aspect of my work as a Community Connector for Bridge Church in partnership with NHS Lincolnshire's Community Mental Health Transformation Programme. Speaking with Paul about their vision to set up Stay Toasty, it became clear it was simply a project I needed to endorse and seed fund through our roving Outreach budget. It will become an absolute asset to the community."

Stay Toasty will also provide families with information about other support services in Lincoln that can help them.
